Volt a szekrényemben egy szürke pulcsi, amit nagyon szerettem, de ritkán használtam, hát miért ne alakítanám át azt? Ha már elkészítettem, meg is mutatom, hogyan.
I just can't get enough of cardigans! After I saw this tutorial, I immediately thought of a grey sweater in my closet that I really love, but rarely use. My closet is full of dresses and skirts, and I've been looking for a grey cardigan that I can use with them for a long time. Finally found that sweater, so why wouldn't I make alteration to it? I'm going to show you how to turn a regular sweater into a cardigan.
Nem kell hozzá semmi különleges, ha szoktál varrni, biztosan minden megvan otthon, ami kell. Amire szükséged lesz
All you will need to transform your old sweater into a cardigan, are the standard sewing supplies and a sewing machine.
Hajtsd félbe a pulcsit, figyelj, hogy pontosan illeszd egymáshoz a varrásvonalakat. Jelöld végig a hajtásvonalat, végy egy nagy levegőt....és vágj bele. Innen már nincs visszaút :) Vigyázz, hogy csak az elülső oldalát vágd végig...
From the front, fold your sweater in half, vertically. Make sure the collar, hem and sleeves are all lined up. Mark the midline, then take a deep breath... and cut it down the middle - the front side of the sweater only:)
A választott anyagból két csíkra lesz szükséged. Ezek legyenek 5 cm szélesek, és kb. 6 cm-rel hosszabbak, mint a pulóvered. A csíkok egyik hosszanti oldalát hajtsd be és vasald le egy cm szélesen. Színt színre fordítva illeszd a másik szélét a vágáshoz, úgy, hogy mindkét végén lógjon túl egy kicsivel és tűzd össze. Vigyázz, hogy ne nyújtsd meg közben az anyagot! Varrd végig egy cm szélesen.
Measure and cut two stripes of the fabric: 5 cm wide and approx 6 cm longer than the length of the sweater, from the middle. Fold and iron one long side of the stripes under about 1 cm wide. Pin and sew the stripes to the cut edge, right sides together. Be careful not to stretch your sweater as you pin and sew.
Ezután következik a szegély eldolgozása. Először hajtsd fel és tűzd meg a túllógó szélt, majd hajtsd a belső oldalra a szegélyt, és gombostűzd végig. (A virágos anyag a kardigán fonák oldalán lesz, kívülről nem látszik.)
Now you just have to hem, and then you're done. First, fold the short end of the stripes down and pin it on the seam allowance. Fold the fabric under the side of the cardigan. Don't forget to pin it. ( The white fabric will only seem on the wrong side of the cardigan in the end.)
Keskenyen tűzd le körben a szegélyt. Használhatsz a kardigánhoz illő színű cérnát, de érdekes lehet elütő színnel is.
Topstitch around the hem, over the inside and outside seam, too. I used matching thread, but it would be also nice with a contrasting color.
És készen is vagyunk. Mivel én nem szoktam begombolni a kardigánjaimat, nem volt fontos hogy gombokat is varrjak rá. De persze varrhatsz rá gombokat, teljes hosszábban vagy akár csak a felső harmadára, ahogy a linkelt leírásban is látható. Csak rajtad áll, hogyan dekorálod tovább.
Finished! I usually wear my cardigan without buttoning it up, so it wasn't important to me to add buttons. You can finish it at this step, or add two or three buttons, which you can see on the linked tutorial, or add as many buttons as you wish. It's all up to you.
Tadamm! Van egy új kardigánom a ritkán használt szürke pulcsim helyett, ami pont jó lesz a nyári ruháim fölé. Úgyis mindjárt itt a nyár, de az esték még hűvösek:)
